H2U and HyCentA join forces on hydrogen infrastructure testing
The Hydrogen Ukraine (H2U) team continues to expand cooperation with leading European hydrogen institutions. We had a productive meeting with HyCentA – the Hydrogen Research Center Austria.
HyCentA the only extra-university research institution in Austria exclusively dedicated to hydrogen technologies, based at Graz University of Technology. HyCentA is a leading hub for innovation in hydrogen, with expertise spanning electrolysis, gaseous storage systems, fuel cells, refuelling, measuring and safety systems. Their work combines research, engineering, simulation, testing and education – creating the knowledge base and practical solutions Europe needs for a hydrogen-driven future.
During the meeting, we focused on testing of gas infrastructure for hydrogen transportation – a crucial step toward scaling up hydrogen use and ensuring system safety and efficiency. We agreed to cooperate on this important area, and this year we have already signed a cooperation agreement, marking the beginning of a strong and promising partnership.
For Hydrogen Ukraine, this partnership is a key step in ensuring that Ukraine’s hydrogen can be reliably and sustainably delivered to European markets, supporting both decarbonisation and energy security.
