Iaroslav Kryl, CEO of Hydrogen Ukraine LLC, participated today in the 1st Investment Forum organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association. The event served as a pivotal platform for exploring investment opportunities and addressing legal challenges facing Ukraine.

During the session dedicated to the energy sector, Mr Kryl presented a compelling vision for the role of green hydrogen in the reconstruction and development of Ukraine’s energy industry. He highlighted the numerous benefits of green hydrogen, emphasizing its critical role in the fight against climate change due to its zero greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, hydrogen’s versatility allows it to be used for producing electricity, heat, and fuel for transportation.

Mr Kryl underscored the potential of hydrogen to become a cornerstone of Ukraine’s clean energy future. He noted that green hydrogen could significantly diversify the country’s energy mix and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels. Green hydrogen could drive substantial economic growth and enhance Ukraine’s energy security.

He also shared insights into the Hydrogen Ukraine`s project in the Odesa region, which recently received a grant through the InnovateUkraine competition, funded by the UK International Development. This pioneering project aims to construct Ukraine’s first green hydrogen production plant powered by renewable electricity. Mr. Kryl reported that active development of a technical and economic feasibility study for the project is currently underway.

The Hydrogen Ukraine`s project, backed by international support, represents a significant step towards realizing Ukraine’s green energy ambitions. Mr Kryl’s presentation at the forum highlighted the transformative potential of green hydrogen and reaffirmed Hydrogen Ukraine LLC’s commitment to leading the way in sustainable energy innovation.
