Hydrogen Ukraine CEO Joins Ukraine Recovery & Reconstruction Fellowship Programme
We are proud to share that Iaroslav Kryl, CEO of Hydrogen Ukraine, has been selected to participate in this year’s Ukraine Recovery & Reconstruction Fellowship Programme of the John Smith Trust, delivered in partnership with The Scottish Government. The programme complements the 100-year partnership agreement between the UK and Ukraine, that was signed in Jan 2025.
The programme brings together a select group of Ukrainian leaders working at the forefront of green recovery, energy transition and sustainable development at a pivotal moment for Ukraine’s future. It is designed to strengthen leadership capacity, foster international partnerships and support long-term, resilient approaches to reconstruction with a strong focus on hydrogen, renewable energy, governance and investment.
As part of the fellowship, participants will engage with policymakers, industry experts, academics and practitioners across Scotland, while also sharing their own expertise and experience. The programme includes in-depth discussions on leadership and governance, as well as site visits to advanced hydrogen and clean-energy facilities, offering valuable insight into practical models for implementation and scale-up.
Participation in this fellowship reflects the growing recognition of hydrogen as a strategic pillar of Ukraine’s recovery and future competitiveness, and underscores the importance of international cooperation in building a secure, resilient and sustainable energy system.
We congratulate Iaroslav on this achievement and look forward to translating the knowledge, connections and perspectives gained through the programme into concrete impact for Ukraine’s green recovery.
