This week we held a kick-off meeting with Košice Self-governing Region and eustream (Slovak gas TSO) to start preparations for the future supply of renewable hydrogen from Zakarpattia (Ukraine) to Košice (Slovakia) within the framework of the EastGate H2V project.

Earlier this year, EastGate H2V was selected under the Horizon Europe framework by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, securing €9 million in funding. Our flagship Zakarpattia Hydrogen Valley project is an integral part of this initiative.

Hydrogen Ukraine will now begin Techno-Economic Studies for the cross-border hydrogen pipeline, covering:

• Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
• Feasibility analysis
• Environmental, climate & social impact assessment (ESCIA)
• Permitting and regulatory issues

This marks a significant step toward building a cross-border hydrogen corridor, reinforcing Ukraine’s role as a future supplier of clean energy to Europe.
