On Tuesday, 9 September, we launched our online programme ‘Development of professional skills in the field of gender equality and social inclusion.’ This is a special project aimed at providing participants with practical knowledge for implementing the principles of equality and inclusion in their professional activities and social life.

We devoted the first session to an introduction to the topic. Together with trainers Myroslava Babak and Nataliia Sviderska, we discussed the difference between ‘sex’ and ‘gender,’ the transformation of roles in society, and the challenges, barriers, and components of equality. It was not only informative, but also very interactive – we exchanged thoughts, reflections and experiences.

Next Tuesday, we will continue the discussion of the introductory block, and then move on to more practical topics: from legislative frameworks and policies to tools for measuring progress, from gender equality in the workplace to global perspectives. The programme also includes issues of social inclusion, accountability and economic empowerment.
